Bombs from four airstrikes hit a shelter for internally displaced persons between 4.15am and 4.39am injuring some residents, according to the press.
The Karenni Army (KA) and Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) rushed to the scene to defuse a bomb that failed to explode.
The airstrikes came as the Myanmar army tried to deliver supplies to its troops at a base ambushed by Karenni forces.
The Myanmar military army was forced to launch Y-8D aircraft to drop weapons and food supplies for troops at its base on Wednesday, a source from Thai security intelligence unit said
The source said the incident took place around 3pm, adding that the Myanmar army had lost soldiers and weapons in the ambush.
Myanmar aircraft flew around the base to ensure that it would not be attacked by Karenni forces before dropping six supply boxes 650 metres from the Thailand border, the source explained.
