Sripatum University uses Predator products for digital-content education

The School of Digital Media, Sripatum University has equipped its computer lab is now equipped with more than 80 sets of Acer Predator G3 and monitors in pursuit of the goal to transform itself into the Digital Content Hub.

The university said in a press statement that its computer lab became the first in Asia Pacific to use Predator computers from Acer.
The university said it invested in the computers to provide students with efficient tools to practice and create digital content in various formats so that they are well ready to enter digital-content industry with remarkable quality.
Dr Kamon Jirapong, dean of the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University, said his school has decided to update its curriculum in line with Thailand 4.0 policy.
The curriculum is designed for students to specialise in digital content across four fields of study: digital art; graphic design; animation – visual effects; and interactive – games, he added.
Experienced faculty staffs are on hand to pass on their expertise in each field to students. On top of this, the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University, has won support from various private and government networks in the digital industry of Thailand and many other countries to facilitate its teaching. 
The students, moreover, gain access to well-equipped lab whereby they can familiarize themselves with modern tools.
Aware that students should stay updated with the latest of technology for digital-content production, the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University, has developed its computer lab in line with the learning needs of students in all the aforementioned fields.
“The lab chooses efficient Acer computers for its mission to produce graduates with international quality paving way for the school to become Thailand’s ultimate Digital Content Hub,” Kamon said.
Nitipat Praweenwongwuthi, marketing director of Acer Computer Co said Acer has engaged in some collaboration with the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University before, and has thus recognized all along that the institute is committed to developing learning/teaching innovations for its students and lecturers. 
He pointed out that the development focuses on not just bodies of knowledge but also equipment to empower students and boost their readiness to step into various competitive industries in the future. “Acer is proud to have worked with the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University, in developing the institute’s computer lab,” Nitipat said. 
He described it as Asia Pacific’s first Acer Predator lab. 
“Acer has offered the right products to the School of Digital Media, Sripatum University, in the hope that its students will be able to hone their skills now to solidly roar into digital-content industry later,” Nitipat said.
