Phinit Pholkhan was discharged from hospital and allowed to return home on Sunday (April 12), sparking an Instagram message of congratulation from Matthew.
The boxing event generated a cluster of Covid-19 cases, with a high-ranking military officer and a local government official among those infected.
On March 13, the actor revealed that he was also infected with the virus. Two days later, Phinit confirmed that he, too, had tested positive for Covid-19.
Then on March 16, Matthew’s wife Sarunrat ‘Lydia’ Visutthithada revealed that she had caught the virus from her husband.
The actor said recently that he and his wife would be allowed back home soon after treatment.
“The doctors told me that being with my wife would not delay my recovery time,” he added.
The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration has called the Lumpini boxing event the country's main source of coronavirus transmission, linking it to several deaths.
