Hermès offers insights into the making of an iconic brand

From November 25 to December 3, Bangkok welcomes “Hermès In The Making”, an exclusive event offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship behind this brand and discovering its spirit of creation and innovation through its unique craftsmanship.

Meet the artisans and see the craftsmanship. The event gives you a chance to get close to “The people behind the success”, as they bring with them their tools, their materials, their expertise and their spirit of transmission.

Take a tour of the meticulous world of Hermès at The Pinnacle, 8th floor, ICONSIAM, in the open plan manner inspired by a craftsman’s workbench. The French brand will showcase what goes on inside the Orange Box, under the “Hermès Responsible and Sustainable Model”.

The scenography of the event features four themes that form the basis of the history and life of the house:

• preservation and transmission of know-how
• respect for and quality of materials
• commitment to the long term
• regional anchoring

For almost two centuries, Hermès has epitomised durability, innovation, and functional aesthetics. From leather goods to extravagant luxury items, each piece embodies meticulous attention to detail and the use of artisanal techniques. These creations develop a unique patina over time, reflecting the brand's values of sustainability and longevity.

Behind every masterpiece lies painstaking dedication. Skilled artisans invest up to 35 hours assembling the Hermès Vivace showjumping saddle, while technical drawing artists devote around 200 hours per design piece to ensure precision in colour and thickness.
