Bad idea. The scrapping of school uniforms will instantly distinguish the haves from the have-nots when the former march into school in their designer clothes and sneer at their cheaply-clad classmates. The hierarchy of wealth and privilege in Thai society will be instilled at an early age.
A school uniform is a social leveller; it provides a measure of equality and sense of community among those who wear it. Keep it, I say.
