Treasures from the deep

The freshest catches from the Andaman Sea arrive on the tables at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s Up & Above restaurant next month in a range of dishes that pay homage to this natural larder.

Among the appetisers are fritto misto of prawns, calamari, sea bass, and mussels with lemon and tartar sauce and spicy pomelo salad with crispy seafood, red chilli, and coriander.
Main courses are inspired by the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean and include snapper picatta with couscous, harissa and crispy leeks, sea bass poached in lightly herbed acqua pazza broth with garlic, tomato, celery, basil, lime, and Italian parsley and grilled giant tiger prawns, an Andaman speciality, served with crushed potatoes, broccolini, sundried tomato salsa, and lemon butter sauce.
Andaman Seafood dishes are priced from Bt350-plus and will be available from August 1 to 31 from noon to 10.30pm.
Book a table at (02) 687 9000 or visit www.OkuraBangkok.com.
