The Magners International Comedy Festival returns to Thailand for a bigger, better and funnier edition from March 23 to 25 and this year will have sides splitting in Pattaya, Phuket and Hua Hin as well as Bangkok.
Organised internationally by Magic Rock events, and co-presented locally by The Comedy Club Bangkok, the festival brings in a fresh batch of incredible talent from the UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Malaysia and the USA.
The Comedy Club in Bangkok, Altitude Bar at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Tavern by the Sea at TheAmari Hotel in Pattaya, The Red Piano in Hua Hin and Underwood Art Factory in Phuket will all play host to these international stand-up comics, with comedy sponsor Magners Cider ensuring audiences have a seriously good laugh.
Not to be missed acts include the off-beat and outrageous Martin Mor, who tours with Frankie Boyle; Dana Alexander from Russell Howard’s “Good News”; Comedy Network comedian Lars Callieou; Dan La Morte, possibly the hottest newcomer; Andre King, one of the biggest Kiwi comics; and, Matthew Giffen, whose show “Cocaine and Potatoes” has gone down so well/
As part of the festival, the search has been on to find the comedy stars of tomorrow. In association with LOL events out of Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, comedians have the chance to make a name for themselves and a shot to win cash prizes in local competitions across the region.
