In an official reply sent to the head of administration of the Parliament, Datuk Awang Alik bin Jeman, the caterer, Putrade Management Property Sdn Bhd thanked the Parliament for its letter demanding an explanation from the company regarding the spelling mistakes.
The chairman of the company, Dr Alias Anor Abdul said that he had taken action and has met with all his heads of department involved while he also gave his assurance that such mistakes would not occur again.
Alias also pointed out that he was informed that the menu had been corrected before the event had started.
The menu was prepared during a dinner between Parliament officers and the Speaker of the House Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia on Nov 23..
The image of the menu had gone viral on WhatsApp and other messaging media services last week.
In response, the Parliament had issued a statement saying that it regretted the act of irresponsible quarters in circulating the image of the menu with the spelling error on social media.
