Storms and strong winds for North, Northeast

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 07, 2023

Storms and strong winds are forecast to affect at least three regions of Thailand today (November 7)

High atmospheric pressure, or a cold air mass from China, sits over the northern and upper northeastern regions of Thailand, as well as the upper eastern region and the southern part of the Gulf of Thailand.

Strong easterly winds meanwhile will bring moisture from the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea.

Waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will be less strong, reaching less than 1 metre in height except in thunderstorms where they could be more than 2 metres. Caution should be exercised when setting sail and areas with thunderstorms avoided.
