Less rain for the North, but heavy rain for the South

The northern part of the country will experience less rainfall today with only a 10% to 20% chance of storms. The southern region however still see heavy to very heavy downpours with a strong possibility of flooding and forest runoff.

The weather conditions for the next 24 hours will be influenced by the extension of high-pressure systems and cold air masses from China covering the northern region.

Meanwhile, easterly and northeasterly winds will prevail over the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea, bringing rain to 16 provinces.

Wave height will be moderate in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea reaching 1-2 metres, higher in areas with thunderstorms. Small vessels are advised to navigate with caution.
