Bangkok’s air quality ranking took another hit, with the city being named the seventh worst in the world for air quality, while Chiang Mai was placed tenth, according to the application Air Visual today (February 25) as of 12.50pm.

Govt urged to increase budget to tackle severe air pollution, drought

The Economic and Business Research Centre of Rangsit University’s Institute of Economics urged the government to raise the budget and accelerate allocation to resolve the impact of PM2.5 dust particles and the drought.
The air quality in some parts of Bangkok is in unsafe territory, with particulate matter measuring less than 2.5 micrograms per cubic metre averaging 46-106mcg per cubic metre on Friday (January 10).
Dust particle level ‘moderate to mildly threatening’

The level of PM2.5 dust particles in Bangkok averaged 35-67 micrograms per cubic metre today (January 7), which is between moderate and mildly threatening, the Air Quality and Noise Management Bureau reported.
