At least 40 people were killed and some others injured on Sunday evening in Israel's bombing of tents in northwestern Rafah, the southernmost city of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported.

The World Court’s ruling on Friday (May 24) ordering Israel to immediately halt its military assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah was a significant step and is based on solid legal ground, analysts told Reuters, but would be difficult to enforce.
