The King and Queen greeted the public waiting at Na Phra Lan Road and Rajdamnoen Avenue on Sunday evening after the attire-changing ceremony at Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, or Temple of the Emerald Buddha, in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district.
They were accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebayavadi and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
Over 12,000 people were waiting on the two roads, wearing yellow shirts and holding Thai national and the royal flags to greet the royals.
