Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and his deputy, Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai, met ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra for lunch on Thursday to reportedly iron out differences in the upcoming Cabinet reshuffle.

After completing his observation of a training school for volunteers under His Majesty’s initiative at the 11th Infantry Regiment in Bang Khen district, Srettha headed for Rosewood Hotel on Sukhumvit Road.

Phumtham followed the prime minister in another car.

Political observers believe that Srettha showed Thaksin, considered the patriarch of the coalition leader, Pheu Thai Party, the final list of his second Cabinet during lunch.

Reporters were not allowed inside the hotel and neither minister spoke to the press after the luncheon.
