Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan revealed on Monday that the expo generated over 4 million orders and exports to China valued at 1.51 billion baht. Live streams presented by Chinese KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) garnered a massive 115 million views from Chinese consumers.
"The International Live Commerce Expo 2024 was a resounding success, with cumulative sales exceeding 1.5 billion baht and over 4.3 million orders of Thai products exported to China. The live streams were viewed by millions of Chinese consumers, demonstrating the strong demand for Thai goods," Pichai said.
He emphasised the importance of collaborating with KOLs to expand Thailand's global trade, particularly in the rapidly growing Chinese live commerce market.
The expo’s success marked a milestone in the Commerce Ministry support and promotion of Thai SMEs and products in the international market, he added.
The ministry said it now plans to further expand partnerships with international influencers and explore new live commerce opportunities, particularly in emerging markets.
