Live Commerce Expo rakes in over 1.5bn baht of Chinese orders

The Commerce Ministry has announced the International Live Commerce Expo 2024 raked in over 1.5 billion baht in deals from September 25-29. The event, held at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok, demonstrated the growing popularity of Thai products in the Chinese market, the ministry said

Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan revealed on Monday that the expo generated over 4 million orders and exports to China valued at 1.51 billion baht. Live streams presented by Chinese KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) garnered a massive 115 million views from Chinese consumers.

"The International Live Commerce Expo 2024 was a resounding success, with cumulative sales exceeding 1.5 billion baht and over 4.3 million orders of Thai products exported to China. The live streams were viewed by millions of Chinese consumers, demonstrating the strong demand for Thai goods," Pichai said.

He emphasised the importance of collaborating with KOLs to expand Thailand's global trade, particularly in the rapidly growing Chinese live commerce market.
