J&B Metal Company will transport the first round in four trailers, a total of 120 tonnes of cadmium. Lor Loha Thai Company will use six 10-wheel trucks to carry 150 tonnes of cadmium. Before departure, all trailers will be inspected carefully to ensure there will be no leakage and diffusion.

The balance 12,800 tonnes of cadmium will be moved from Samut Sakhon and Chonburi every day in a phased manner, in 30 prepared vehicles until June 17. While pit No. 5 is undergoing repairs, all cadmium waste will be stored at Bound and Beyond company’s warehouses in Tak province. The landfill process will be completed and the pit will be closed by September 30 as per the plans drawn up for their disposal.
