12 Thais, one foreigner found positive in quarantine

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Wednesday reported 13 new cases in quarantine over a 24-hour period.

The latest cases are:
> A 62-year-old asymptomatic Thai delivery man, who returned from the United States and Hong Kong on October 15 and tested positive on October 26 under quarantine at a Bangkok hotel.
> A 35-year-old asymptomatic Thai man, who came home from Bangladesh on October 16 and was found positive on October 26 with cough during quarantine at a Bangkok hotel.
> Four asymptomatic male students (aged 21, 30, 25, 23), who travelled back from Jordan and tested positive on October 25 in Chon Buri state quarantine.
> A 51-year-old asymptomatic Thai woman, who returned from Germany and was found positive on October 25 in Chon Buri state quarantine.
> Two masseuses (22, 40), who came home from the United Arab Emirates on October 23 and tested positive on October 26.
> A 49-year-old French businessman, who arrived on October 23 and was found positive on October 26 under quarantine at a Bangkok hotel.
> A 46-year-old asymptomatic Thai woman, who returned from Russia and tested positive on October 26 in Samut Prakan state quarantine with a cough and fatigue.
> Two monks (28, 30), who came home from the United Kingdom on October 26 and was found positive the same day; one had a fever, cough, runny nose and phlegm.

Meanwhile, ten patients have recovered and been discharged.

As of Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases in Thailand stands at 3,759 (811 in state quarantine). Of these, 139 are in hospital and 3,561 have recovered and been discharged. The death toll remains unchanged at 59.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am the number of confirmed global cases has increased to 44.2 million (rising by 459,020). Of these, 32.4 million have recovered, 10.63 million are active cases (79,922 in severe condition) and 1.17 million have died (increasing by 7,023 in 24 hours).

Thailand ranks a safe 147th for most cases in the world.
The US has the most number, with 9 million, followed by India (7.98 million), Brazil (5.44 million), Russia (1.54 million) and France (1.19 million).
