Airbus denies renting out jets to THAI

Airbus today denied local reports that it had notified Thai Airways International (THAI) of debts the struggling carrier owes for 30 rented aircraft.

Airbus said in a statement that it had not leased any aircraft to THAI.
Reports on May 20 quoted Deputy Transport Minister Thaworn Senneam as saying that THAI’s debts were checked on May 15, when documents showed that Airbus is trying to collect debts for the rental of 30 airplanes as the due date draws near.
