The allowance is only for those who had contacted responsible officials immediately after they had shown symptoms similar to Covid-19 pneumonia.
“The order aims to reduce the number of infections in Krabi province, which has risen to 16 patients as of April 10,” provincial Governor Lt-Colonel Kitibadee Prawit said on Friday (April 10).
“The province will provide patient support of Bt500 a day to all Covid-19 patients who, instead of hiding their symptoms, had contacted communicable disease control officers (district chiefs, village headmen, public health officials) immediately after showing symptoms and remain in hospital until they recover.”
The order will be effective from April 10 to 30.
Earlier this week Koh Lanta in Krabi was shut down after four cases of Covid-19 were found on the island, which has now been labelled a hotspot for potential infection.
