Seven new Covid-19 cases take Thailand's total to 82

Seven new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases were confirmed on Saturday (March 14) by the Public Health Ministry, raising the number of infections in Thailand to 82.

The ministry's permanent secretary, Sukhum Karnchanapimai, said that of the seven new cases, the 76th case is linked to 11 Thai cluster infections previously reported, with the 77th to 80th cases coming from the same family.
The 81st case is a student returning from Japan.
The 82nd case is an actor.
Actor Matthew “Deane” Chanthavanij revealed in a short video posted on Instagram on Friday (March 13) that he is infected with the Covid-19 virus.
Of the total 82 cases, 35 victims have recovered and been discharged, 46 remain under medical care and one died.
