Suporn Atthawong, vice minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, said the officials made the rounds at Fort Suranaree Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Ratchasima and Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, offering condolences and best wishes for speedy recovery.
Thirty people were killed in and around the Terminal 21 shopping mall in the northeastern province’s capital and scores were wounded by a troubled Army sergeant-major carrying an assault rifle. Police shot him dead on Sunday morning.
Suporn said the premier and ministers also attended funerals at Wat Pho, Wat Sutthachinda Worawihan and Wat Samakkhi.
“The prime minister urged ministers and other government authorities to take care of the relatives of the dead and restore the morale of people nationwide as soon as possible,” he said.
