Particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter were found to be between 29 and 57 micrograms per metre, while the safety level prescribed by Thai authorities is 50mcg per metre or lower.
Areas with PM2.5 at unsafe level were:
Din Daeng Road in Din Daeng district, Lat Phrao Road in Wang Thonglang, Nawamin Road in Bang Kapi, Lat Krabang Road in Lat Krabang, Khlong Kum subdistrict in Bueng Kum, Thung Song Hong subdistrict, Lak Si (all in Bangkok) and Pak Nam subdistrict in Muang Samut Prakan district in Samut Prakan province.
Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index application showed at 9am that the overall air quality in Bangkok was 112, dropping from previously day but also “unhealthy for sensitive group".
