The Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration at Chulalongkorn University continues to be accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development.

The business school recently was awarded EFMD Quality Improvement System (Equis) accreditation for three more years to 2017.
Profesor Toemsakdi Krishnamra, director of Sasin, said recently that Sasin people were proud of having obtained the Equis accreditation, which required the school to undergo a strict quality assessment including a three-day field visit by the committee.
This success proves that Sasin is capable of maintaining world-class standards and is among the world and Asia’s leading business administration schools, he added.
The Equis accreditation was about excellence in teaching and learning according to continuously-developed standards that took into consideration the business school’s strategy, vision and leadership, Prof Michael Osbaldeston, director of quality services for EFMD, said.
In January 2010, Sasin earned its first international accreditation from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, then in December of the same year it was granted the first Equis accreditation.
Sasin became Thailand’s first and only business school to receive accreditation from the two world-class accrediting organisations – Equis based in Europe and AACSB based in the US. Only 23 institutions in Asia, and just six in Asean, achieved this double honour.
Equis was started in 1997 by EFMD, a non-profit group in Brussels, whose main objective is to exchange knowledge among education institutions and companies for management development. Over 800 organisations from academia, business, public service and consulting in 81 countries are members.
