TBL 2023 basketball competition to kick off on Saturday
Thailand Basketball League 2023 (TBL 2023) will start this Saturday and last till August 27, with 10 top teams joining the competition.
Some of them are such as Ban Bueng Devil Rays, Khon Kaen King, Korat JD T-Rex, Bangkok Tigers, Phuket Waves and Chao Phraya Thunder and Chiang Mai Eagles.
TBL 2023 also invites basketball-loving female college students to participate in the ALLIE Present TBL CONTEST 2023. Participants in the competition would have a chance to take part in other events during TBL 2023 .
Eventually, only one of the contestants will be selected to be Miss Popular TBL Contest 2023, with the cash prize totalling 100,000.
Natthaphon Antarasen, an official at Sports Authority of Thailand, said that Thailand has several talented basketball players, citing the two gold medals that Thai players won in the 3x3 basketball competition during the Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam in 2022.
He said that in order to maintain the quality of the sport, each team is permitted to include two foreign Asian players and two players from nations outside of Asia.
He also urged Thai people to tune in to the competition which would be broadcast on the T-sport channel, the TBL 2023 Facebook page, and the YouTube channel.
