Orange is for autumn

The pastry chefs at The Okura Prestige Bangkok are serving up sweet and savoury delights as part of their Autumn Orange Afternoon Tea which will be served at Up & Above Bar next month and in November.

Patrons can enjoy savoury bites that include edamame vichyssoise with quail egg and black olive crostini; smoked salmon parfait, lemon confit and sweet potato chips; roast baby pumpkin, prosciutto and fig; and warm asparagus in a puff pastry and truffle tapenade. These moreish offerings pair beautifully with a glass of chilled Champagne or Prosecco.

Sweet temptations include chocolate and orange financiers; autumn themed macarons; chocolate souffletine; mixed nuts tart; mandarin and kumquat layer cake; orange milk pudding; candied kumquat scones; and seasonal cream daifuku. All can be enjoyed with a cup of rich illy coffee or freshly brewed premium Saro and The Sur le Nil tea from Mariage Frères, which has lovely citrus notes. A selection of Autumn and Citrus inspired cocktails is also available.

The Autumn Orange Afternoon Tea is available from 2 to 5pm daily and priced at Bt 1,190 inclusive of premium coffee or tea for 2 persons, Bt1,690 with Sake (250 ml) or with 2 glasses of Prosecco and Bt2,750 with 2 glasses of Champagne.
