Reporters who joined them and other celebrities for Air Asia’s recent inaugural flight to Mandalay, Myanmar, got used to seeing the actor taking his wife’s picture at all the scenic spots.
They work separately as TV hosts but often share PR assignments and, at a recent marketing event, Shahkrit said the jobs leave them little spare time. They’re squeezing in some travelling before having a baby. That will maybe be the middle of next year, he hinted, although his mum is anxious for a grandchild sooner than that.
“I’ll have to look at Woonsen’s schedule,” he said. “Every couple’s life changes after having a child, so we want to travel a lot now.” Any marketing people wanting their assistance had better book a date soon before there’s a third family member’s schedule to consult.
... and after
Actress Suwanan “Kob” Kongying, who was at the same PR event, can confirm that. She’s on the cover of Praew magazine and says her life is completely different with baby daughter Punnada “Nada” Punnakan.
“From the moment I open my eyes until the moment I go to bed, I spend all my time with her – feeding, playing, changing nappies, bathing. Phi Brook [husband Danupon] helps when he comes home. It’s very demanding!”
Nada’s over a year old now. “She loves music and dancing, and reading books too, so I’m researching schools.” Kob arranges dinners out just for Brook and herself once or twice a month. “He’s very attached to Nada and wants her along, but I just want some peace.”
No plans to return to the screen yet. “I’m trying to get back in shape. My goal is to get rid of three kilos in three months – I want to do it in a moderate way because I have to look after my kid and I don’t want to be moody.”
