It’s amusing that vegetarians have been stereotyped as being everything from “bleeding heart liberals” to “Nazis”. (It’s a credit to my versatility as a vegetarian that I manage to be Jewish, liberal and Nazi all at the same time!) Yet the very fact that JC Wilcox and I – who vehemently disagree with each other on just about everything else – are in total agreement on this issue shows the absurdity of pinning labels on us.
Vegetarians have at least one of three things in common: a concern for animals, for human health or for the environment. And if that’s the definition of a “liberal” or a “Nazi” then sign me up.
