Gourmet takes the cake

“We have opened retail spaces at seven MRT stations consisting of Khlong Toey, Sukhumvit, Phra Ram 9, Thailand Cultural Centre, Phahon Yothin, Chatuchak Park and Kamphaeng Phet. This year, we added retail spaces to two more stations of Lat Phrao and Petchburi. These initiatives received positive feedback from both retailers and customers, whose numbers continue to rise as more stations are added. To ride on this wave of success, we joined forces with Gourmet Market, a food retailer whose supermarket meets international standards, to open the first supermarket in an MRT station at Lat Phrao station.

“This project required Bt35 million of investment in preparation for the 2,300-square-metre space. The supermarket caters to the need of busy city dwellers who seek convenience,” said Nattavut Trivisvavet, director of Bangkok Metro Networks Limited (BMN).

The Gourmet Market at MRT Lat Phrao is the fourth standalone supermarket. On offer are 25,000 premium products such as fruits and vegetables, freshly made food and consumer products. A unique aspect to this location’s Gourmet Market is the delicatessen section which boasts Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and sandwich meals, along with healthy options from the soup and salad bar, available as take away and dine-in at the counters or common seating area.

There are 20 popular shops in the same compound including Bread Talk, Coffee Road, Thai Street Food Express, DragonX, The Jaffle, Madame Heng and LAB Pharmacy.

Customers can also order online through Line Man and honestbee applications and the orders will be promptly delivered straight to the customers’ doors.

“We believe that Gourmet Market at MRT Lat Phrao will boost traffic to the MRT and receive positive feedback from MRT users who seek convenience in food and grocery purchases because we are a one-stop supermarket,” said Chairat Petchdakul, general manager of Supermarkets, The Mall Group.

“Special offers only during the launch include free Bt50 discount coupon for new M Card applicants, super shock prices, buy 1 get 1 free as well as premiums from many brands.”

The Gourmet Market is on the B floor, Exit 4 and is open daily from 7am to 10pm.
