Govt plan to influence media coverage slammed

PRD caretaker director-general Lt-Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd on Wednesday asked editors and reporters from broadcasting outlets to “cooperate” with the agency to give more media attention to “underrated” ministers during the upcoming mobile Cabinet meeting in Nakhon Ratchasima next week.
This was predictable when that guy was given his post. So I guess we are supposed to praise and respect these people even though we don’t know anything about them and they may be almost competent?

Seriously, you want the public to focus on “underrated” ministers?
Wouldn’t it be wiser to have the media completely ignore those ministers and focus only on the overrated successful ministers? The latter would deliver positive attitudes focusing on well-performing ministers (assuming that’s accurate), while the former can only deliver negative public attitudes.
Counterproductive media exposure comes to mind.
