Egon correctly identifies “HHB”, part of the “collective voice” spearheaded by a contributor who provides quantity over quality in these pages, as a bete noire par excellence.
He, or she, may recall HHB’s particularly offensive remarks directed at decent people, presumably in the belief that unaccountability is cushioned by anonymity.
Moreover, Egon has detected the pattern of arrant foolhardiness provided by HHB and some others who arrive, then sometimes mysteriously disappear, when the insults have been remotely delivered.
The principal malcontent is well known in this column.
