Bad doctors, livestock industry caused antibiotics crisis

The hypocritical article barely mentions that the major cause of this problem is the overuse of antibiotics by the livestock industry. (We mustn’t upset meat-eaters!)
According to the US Food and Drug Administration, 80 per cent of antibiotics used in America are fed to livestock. Eighty per cent! For decades I’ve been writing articles and letters warning about this catastrophe as the world braces itself for the onslaught of more antibiotic-resistant diseases. Add to that the fact that many doctors are nothing but pimps for the pharmaceutical industry (that goes double for Thailand) and even use antibiotics to “treat” viruses, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. What fools!
