Chanchira “Film” Jamsakorn and Jinnawat “Beer” Kantanurit, both aged 10, from Bang Bua School in Bang Khen district, will join nine other children from Brazil, China, India and the United States as part of the “Beautiful Possibilities Programme”. The mascots will walk onto the pitch with the Manchester United team, each player wearing a match shirt adorned with the name of a mascot.
Moments before the match starts, Manchester United players will remove the shirts and present them to the mascots in a show of admiration and also in line with football tradition.
“We’re going to show these children, their families and communities, and millions of Manchester United followers around the world how football can change lives and create beautiful possibilities,” said Tim Mahoney, chief marketing officer, Chevrolet.
Manchester United’s Richard Arnold said, “through our partnership with Chevrolet, the club wants to connect with our 659 million global followers. Our players will be proud to walk out onto the pitch with these children, wearing their names on the backs of their shirts.”
