One of her series, “Lub Luang Lorn”, is airing on Channel 3 and that’s where we’ll soon see another one, “Ngao Tae Sae Hero”. So she really has gone over to the other side? Surang points out that her series are co-productions with BEC-Tero, a subsidiary of Channel 3. Channel 7 executives can be grateful their ousted ex-boss has made it a rule not to cross the line – she won’t try to steal away their contracted stars.
“Marn Kammathep”, yet another upcoming series, to be co-produced with Exact boss Takolkiat “Boy” Veerawan, will mainly feature Exact stars like Nawat “Pong” Kulrattanarak and Myria “Nat” Benedetti, and Surang wants to fill out the cast from the Miss Thailand Universe 2012 pageant.
Boy’s delighted, saying it’s great to work with a veteran who really understands soap operas.
Shane attack
The show “Shane Come Back Attack 10” is just a gimmick. Jatuporn “Shane” Chomphunuch, a regular on Channel 3’s “At Ten”, says his return to stage will involve others with whom he’s currently working. It will be a variety show with singer-coach Maneenuch Samaerasut, comedians Note Chernyim, Ped Chernyim and Der Doksadao, and, to appeal to the younger crowd, Pakin “Tono the Star” Kumilaisuk.
Because there’ll be so many stars, Shane and the group also asked Vitawat Soonthornwinate, the owner of “At Ten”, to join them. Unexpectedly he agreed, and that will be another surprise in seeing how he’ll be incorporated into the show.
“The show is on September 15 and 16,” Shane says. “We wanted to do three days, but the boss [Vitawat] wasn’t free. He’s very kind to join us for what will be his first stage show, but he asked us not to use the name ‘At Ten’ since he didn’t want people to think the show is linked to the TV programme.”
