A pairing of tea and cake at The Coffee Bean

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN- THE Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (The Coffee Bean) has given patrons all the more reasons to come have tea at its outlets at it is having a promotion in conjunction with International Tea Day, which is observed every December 15.

As the name suggests, the ‘Tea & Cake - One True Pairing’ promotion, which ends December 31, gives patrons of the coffee chain a chance to have tea paired with a cake. There are four sets: Apricot Ceylon Tea with Chicago Cheesecake; Estate Darjeeling Tea with Carrot Cake; Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea with White Chocolate Mousse Pie and Matcha Kukicha Tea with Steam Baked Chocolate Cheesecake.

Each set is priced at $6.90, with the exception of the outlets at the Brunei International Airport, where they are priced at $7.90 each. The drinks can also be enjoyed in the comforts of home at $19.90 for a box of 20 tea bags or as loose tea depending on the flavour.

When it comes to enjoying the set, The Coffee Bean’s Marketing Executive Ida Patera has an advice for patrons.

“The tea and cake pairing should be enjoyed without adding sugar to the tea. This is because we strongly believe that the pairing complements each other and these sets are suitable for people who enjoy flavourful food,” said Ida.

During the promotion, customers who purchase a set can avail a limited edition The Coffee Bean reusable cup with lid at $5. For those who purchase two sets, they can get the cup at $3.50.
