Its franchisee, Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd, said that the second outlet will feature a private function room and the three-storey restaurant has space for up to 240 people.
“It has been four months since we opened the doors of the first-ever, global quick service restaurant franchise in Myanmar, and we would like to wholeheartedly thank the Myanmar public for their tremendous support during this period,” said JR Ching, chief financial officer, Yoma Strategic, and managing director of KFC Myanmar. “KFC is a strategic pillar of Yoma’s consumer platform and we take a long-term view into this business. We are investing heavily to make KFC Myanmar successful and to position ourselves as a key player in Myanmar’s fast-expanding consumer and retail sectors.”
According to Ching, several more KFC outlets will open in Yangon in the first quarter of 2016. This ongoing expansion underscores Yoma Strategic's commitment to positioning itself as a key player in the country's growing food, drinks and consumer sector. It also aligns with KFC's ongoing strategy of global expansion in emerging markets.
