HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn and HM Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana paid the visit at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan district on Friday.
Accompanying Their Majesties were Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
The King, Queen and Queen Mother presented alms to Buddhist monks in a religious ceremony to mark the Queen Mother’s birthday.
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit was born on August 12, 1932, and married His Majesty King Bhumibol the Great in 1950. They had one son, who is the current reigning monarch, and three daughters together.
Few photographs of the Queen Mother have appeared since she withdrew from the public gaze in 2012.
Her Majesty’s birthday on August 12 is also celebrated every year as Mother’s Day in Thailand.
