Registration for vaccination via app to resume from June 24

Registration for vaccination via app to resume from June 24

The suspended Mor Phrom (Doctors Ready) vaccine registration application would be revived from June 24, Government Spokeswoman Ratchada Thanadirek said on Friday.

The Ministry of Public Health had set up the Mor Phrom mobile application for the general public to register for Covid-19 vaccination on May 1. However, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration suspended the vaccine reservation process via the application on May 26 to improve the system, while people who had already registered would still get their jabs as per schedule.

“People will be able to use the Mor Phrom application for vaccine reservation again from June 24,” said Ratchada. “If you are not comfortable with registering via the application, you can still register with hospitals and the district health office in your area either in person or via the provided online channels.”

Ratchada added that since the vaccination for the general public started from June 7 to June 10, up to 1.45 million doses of vaccine had been provided, increasing total inoculation in the country from 4.21 million doses to 5.66 million doses in just four days.

“The government also has started providing jabs to workers in industrial estates and nearby communities,” she said.

“A pilot vaccination unit has been set up at Map Ta Phut Complex industrial estate in Rayong province since June 9 with the capacity to inoculate 1,000 people per day. Some 25,000 people from six nearby industrial estates have registered to get the jabs.”

Ratchada added that so far the government had inoculated 1,600 Thai students who wished to travel overseas for studies, while some 2,000 other students are awaiting their jabs.

“Once all the registered students get their jabs for overseas study, the Department of Consular Affairs would consider opening the next round of registration,” she added.
