Three national footballers, five staff test positive for Covid at training camp
The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) on Saturday suspended training of the national football team after three players and five staffers tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. The eight were found to be infected during training at a football camp. One of the players was a female.
According to doctors, the infection could have happened before or after their last Covid-19 test on April 30, and despite all the players and staff receiving the first dose of vaccine.
The FAT said that the timeline and information on the infected people had been given to the Ministry of Public Health.
Other players and staff have been told to quarantine.
The FAT has suspended training until the situation improves.
