Education Ministry wins push for scholarships to improve Thai teachers

During its weekly meeting on Tuesday, the Cabinet approved a budget of Bt1.65 billion to cover 1,200 scholarships until 2030, the government’s deputy spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek announced on Wednesday.

The project was proposed by the Education Ministry, which aims to produce more masters’ degree holders to teach physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer.

The scholarships are divided into 600 for both bachelor’s and masters’ degrees and 600 for just masters’ degrees.
