Excise Department director-general Patchara Anuntasilpa said yesterday (June 7) that 90 to 97 million lottery tickets will be produced. The last time the draw was held, 54 million were produced.
Patchara explained that the number has been increased as the market was esimated to become highly energetic once again amid an improvement in the Covid-19 situation. Moreover, the third phase of lockdown easing would facilitate trading, he said.
The high-price problem caused by a low number of lottery tickets in the market will now be solved by the increased production, Patchara added.
