“The company realises that the Covid-19 outbreak has affected the livelihoods and income of Thai people nationwide,” Vethit Chokewathana, managing director at Saha Pathanapibul Plc, said on Friday (May 8).
“Therefore, we have cooperated with the Commerce Ministry to sell the product at a special price from May 1-31 at partner shops nationwide.”
“Mama Cups in every flavour will be sold at Bt10 instead of Bt13, marking the first time we have reduced the price of one of the longest standing brands in Thailand,” he added.
Commerce Ministry permanent-secretary Boonyarit Kalayanamit added that 3,025 other products from various manufacturers will also join the ministry’s campaign, with discounts as high as 68 percent.
“Discounted products include beverages, cooking oils, frozen cooked foods, seasoning products, personal care products, dishwashing liquid and detergent,” he said. “Partner shops in this campaign include the ministry’s Blue Flag shops nationwide, 7-Eleven, Makro, Big C, Tesco Lotus, Tops, CJ Express, Lawson, Maxvalue, Villa Market, Gourmet Market, CP Fresh Mart, Jiffy and Tsuruha.”
