Face masks have been included in the government’s price-control list in line with efforts to control the spread of the deadly virus.
The pair had also been arrested a day earlier for violating the government-imposed night-time curfew.
The suspect, who confessed that he had imported the face masks from Vietnam to sell them in Roi Et, also faces charges for bringing the items into the country illegally.
The 7,500 face masks have been seized and will be handed over to the Commerce Ministry soon.
