In Songkhla province, the moon was seen at Chalatat Beach, over the Gulf of Thailand. The moon in Bangkok was seen at the Rajdamnoen area, over the landmark Democracy Monument.
The moon was around 357,022 kilometres from the Earth and around 7 per cent bigger than its usual size, and 16 per cent brighter.
Normally, the distance between the moon and the earth is 384,400 kilometres, and the bigger size was due to the closer proximity.
