Ayutthaya Governor Sujin Chaichumsak presided over the opening ceremony at Klongsaunplu Resort in Muang district, while Boxing Development and Control Division head Porames Phakdeekhiripraiwan presented the training-organising report during the ceremony and Suwanlop Phuwabanditsin, chairman of the Ayutthaya sport association, gave the welcome speech.
Porames said that many new people had shown interest in Muay Thai, which is part of the national heritage, and so the Boxing Committee and related agencies had tried to promote the sport by arranging training for the A licences (advanced professional Muay Thai coaching) and the B licences (professional Muay Thai coaching).
Those licences would help ensure a good standard for the lessons and training given to interested persons at boxing gyms, as Muay Thai currently has been involved in many forms of businesses.
Porames urged the Muay Thai coaches nationwide who attended this training to take away the knowledge and advice from experts, so as to perform their role as Muay Thai instructors accurately as per the rules and professional code of ethics.
