Truck crash in Phuket pulls down power lines causing six-hour blackout

The Phuket Provincial Electric Authority reports that at 9.30pm last night a truck accident pulled down two power poles. The accident caused a blackout in an area from Sai Yuan to Phromthep Cape for over six hours while workers were installing new power poles and repairing the system.
The Chalong police report that there were no injuries as a result of the truck accident on Wiset Road in Rawai on Tuesday night. The collision caused traffic congestion for several hours.
