1,800kg of beef smuggled from Malaysia seized

District officials of Songkhla's Sadao district seized 1,800 kilograms of beef that had been smuggled across the border from Malaysia on Monday night.

Officials noticed a pickup truck driving around the area several times before it parked behind a mosque in Tambon Padang Bezar in Sadao.
When they approached the vehicle to check it, the driver fled on foot.
When they searched the pickup they found 1,800kg of beef in 90 bags.
