King sends 2,000 blankets to Ubon Ratchathani

The King had the privy councillor, Wirat Chinwinijkul, hand out the blankets at a ceremony held at the meeting hall of the Warin Chamrab district office.
Wirat said during the ceremony that His Majesty learned of the plight of the poor caused by the cold spell in the province so he had sent them blankets.
The northeastern province has been hit with a cold spell since October 23 with the coldest day occurring on December 20 when the mercury in Warin Chamrab dropped to 11 degrees Celsius.
Later in the day, Wirat handed out another 1,000 blankets sent by His Majesty for poor students and poor people at a ceremony held at the Rajprajanukroah 32 School in Mueang district.
