Phichit homes still under 40cm of floodwater

Residents along the Yom River in Phichit continue to suffer from flooding, which despite beginning to subside was still 40 centimetres deep on Tuesday, officials said.

About 50 riverside homes in Tambon Phai Tha Pho of Pho Prathap Chang district, where many residents have endured flooding for three months, were still inundated with floodwaters in the tambon expected to dry by the end of the year.
Phichit has seen 12,077 households in 47 tambons of eight districts, as well as 47,380 rai (7,580 hectares) of farmland, affected by floods. Thirteen flood-related deaths have been reported in the province.
