Kids fret as Phitsanulok school losing all four teachers

A small school in Phitsanulok is desperate for volunteers to help teach its 60 students when all four of its teachers retire at the end of the month.

Until the Education Ministry can assign permanent replacements, Pracha Samakkhi School must rely on anyone who can help out.
For now, a single teacher has been hired from a school budget of just Bt5,000.
And Chamlong Mayu, 63, who retired from teaching at the school three years ago, has also offered to help.
Pracha Samakkhi, with kindergarten to Grade 6 classes, is in Tambon Tha Chang in Prom Phiram district, part of the province’s Education Zone 3.
Chairat Thongnoi, Anan Kongthong, Chatmankom Suwanno and Patchara Mayu’s retirement leaves just the director, Preecha Tunapong, in charge, along with temp teacher Thassanee Yimprasert, 25.
Once they’re gone, Thassasnee said, she won’t be able to handle all the classes alone. She’s hoping volunteers step forward to fill the gap, regardless of their actual profession.
Fourth grader Panuwit Intharakamhaeng, 10, said all five students in his class were worried about the situation. “Who will teach us?” he wondered.
