Pigs drown after river bursts banks in Phitsanulok

A number of pigs drowned on Monday morning after the Wang Thong River burst its banks and inundated a pig farm in Phitsanulok’s Muang district.

The flood levee of the river in Ban Thang Lad village, tambon Wang Pikul, collapsed under the pressure of the rising water at about 7am and quickly flooded Rattawang Saithong’s farm.
Villagers rushed to help Rattawang move the pigs to a road.
He sold the dead pigs to villagers for Bt1,500 each.
